My sister showed me this band (She saw a write up in Teen Vogue?) and I have been crazy about them ever since.

This video is pure magic. Frolic-like and the young girl reminds me of my self when I was that age.

Neverland

Empire of the Sun- "We are the People"

I discovered this band through Fashion Television. After each episode, they play a music video of a new group, and there was Empire of the Sun frolicing around in Shanghai for the track "Walking on a Dream." It was the most magical video I have ever seen. I was transfixed; colors were a plenty, visually stunning, and the music was beyond frolic worthy. I couldn't get over it so I bought the album Walking on a Dream and found this song.

This video is top notch stunningly magical.

They bring a little Neverland in Mexico meets Bowie and I can't help but love it.

Summer Jams Pt. 1 of 3- Frolic To

Some songs soundtrack the sun soaked days and blistering nights where you have to sleep sans clothes. Some of these tracks in the summer jams series are how I view the summer days; drenched in re-verb and dreamy synths with Byrds like harmonies. Some of the tracks are also how I view the nights; sweaty house beats or reggae/hip hop inspired jams. Bonjour. This is my new obsession; the band Phoenix. I first saw them on SNL and I was immediately intrigued, but once I hooked up on this album, I became fanatical. When I find  a band I like, I have the urge to tell everyone, So here is a big shout out. Phoenix- Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix.
