Miss You

Time is flying. I'm three weeks into school and I'm falling behind. Three weeks into living in the new apartment and I have yet to come up with a kitschy name for it. Any suggestions? The Apartment Tour photos will be up in a few days.

We are quickly approaching the holiday season and there is nothing that I love more, besides summer. It's time to don the parkas, eat cranberry bliss bars, decorate the Christmas tree, wear glitzy holiday attire, and hope and pray you get some kisses under the mistletoe, or at least a super awesome present.

I am a Christmas fanatic. I can't wait to watch Rudolph and National Lampoons Christmas Vacation over and over. I set up my tree yesterday (Nov. 20th for the record) and is it ever looking like a drag queen decorated it. So here's to the holiday season. I hope to keep my adventures well documented.

The holiday season has commenced!

I've been feeling fairly nostalgic for Christmas this year.

It is honestly my favorite holiday of the year,

so the above photos are various vintage inspired 70's Christmas moments.

I love my grandmother's vintage ornaments, like her bubble lights

and tinsel. It makes me feel like I should curl up under a snuggie

and watch my Rudolph movies on VHS.

King Moonracer and the Abominable

My Christmas eve tradition is to watch by far the most iconic and awesome Christmas TV film: The 1964 Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

Narrated by Burl Ives, the quest of Hermey and Rudolph is filled with adventure and unique characters. Yukon Cornelius is epic along with his random snow dog team. King Moonracer - a lion with wing wings- rules the island of misfit toys. To make the story even better, Santa is kind of a jerk too.

I can't control my love for this movie. I sing along while I watch it and force others to share in the joy.
