Just A Shot Away...

I know I've posted this photo of Cherie before, but it's one of my favourites.
The way she smokes that cigarette in her own bedroom so nonchalantly is timeless, true rockstar.

"It's Dirty, It's Filthy, It's Paradise!"

After long last, here is the July playlist. Partly inspired by the film Adventureland (a coming of age film where Kirsten Stewart falls in love with Jesse Einsberg to a Lou Reed song at a theme park), the epic doc Dogtown and Z Boys, California, the films The Runaways, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Dazed and Confused and legit summer vibes, this playlist should be enjoyed while drinking some SoCo and soaking perpetually in the sun. I wish I could live inside this playlist and smoke a giant joint while listening to "Sweet Leaf" under the huge western sky.

2)Don't Wanna Know if Your Lonely- Husker Du
3)Pale Blue Eyes- Velvet Underground

Playing with Fire

She's your Cherry Bomb.
Cherie Currie from the Runaways.
A definite style icon of the late 70's.
A little bit of Bowie, a little bit of teenage sex kitten
rolled into one.
I love her silver lame jump suits, Bowie shirts,
scarves, and sun bleaches Valley girl vibes.
(All pictures, except #2 and 3 are by Brad Elterman)

Hot Tramp, I love You So...

Kirsten Stewart
She has grown on me.
I use to think she was the shittiest actress around
With all her lip biting and hair flipping.
But now I see the beauty
of her "I'm not trying attitude"
Especially after The Runaways.
I approve.
