Black Blood

Big fan of Tarantino and Rodriguez films.
Kill Bill and Grindhouse blew me away
and so did the recent Machete.
Lilo was the best trick in the film
as she just played herself.
What could be better than a film
about a big angry Mexican wielding a machete?

Something Like That

Everyone's fav. "lady of the evening",
Lindsay Lohan is one of my style icons.
It doesn't matter how fucked up she is or how ratty her weave is,
Lilo has some style.

Trick It Up!

A collection of some of my fav. Lilo pics
from the hot mess days.
Lilo is released from rehab tomorrow and hopefully
she gets back in the sober game.

Drop The Reds

Maybe it's the red wine talking but I'm missing
Lilo trolling around with cans of coke(?) and cigarettes
The worst part there is no one else to replace her.
Free Lindsay!

To The Chokey With You!

My favourite Trick is heading to the chokey. Yesterday Blohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 90 days in rehab. They say she will only serve close to 25% of her jail time.

When I heard this news, I was a little surprised and felt some compassion. But then I saw the video of Lindsay crying in the court room and I began to laugh hysterically. I lost control. But really, I will miss Lindsay's shenanigans while she is in jail. Who else will I call trick and secretly admire?

The Flaneur

The Flaneur

I drift along the streets of Fifth Ave. looking at the window displays.

I am a flaneur,

A cultural dandy

A visual imperialist

The clothing is my empire

The register, my means of empowerment

A flaneur is a kind of urban dandy who strolls through a modern city(such as Paris), a space that is newly organized in modernity to encourage a mobile and specular (looking) relationship to urban space and the new consumer goods of mass manufacture displayed there. The flaneur observes urban life through the windows and reflective surfaces of the new city, admist the visual spectacle of the many goods newly available for mass consumption thanks to the expansion of factories and a labour pool of workers in manufacture and industrial production.

When I imagine a modern day flaneur, I see a suit. A well dressed metrosexual man, or more likely homosexual man, roaming the streets of the concrete jungle in New York, looking at all of the displays in the windows, imagining what would look so fabulous on his partner. He has money to blow, bitch.

Or, I also see a rather negative image. It's a Beverly Hills Bitch, the 30 year old gold digging wife of a decrepit 80 year old oil tycoon on a vacation with her girlfriends in Las Vegas. They roam the glossed floors of the Forum in Cesar's Palace and check out all of the designer goods. They too, have money to blow, except it wasn't earned, well, in the conventional sense. They look at all the L.V. shit they can buy up .They too are the flaneur, or flaneuse.

I also ideally see Miss Holly from Breakfast at Tiffany's. She is the ultimate flaneuse, checking out jewellery as she eats her breakfast after a night out. Something yearns in me to see some paparazzi captured photos of Lindsay Lohan eating an Egg Mcmuffin in front of some shop on Rodeo Dr. That would take the cake.

I'm a Fan Of...

Yes, I'M A FAN OF....

Lindsay Lohan- She is trashy but gorgeous. Fucked up yet fabulous. You all can judge but you wish you could be her. I'm not sure why I'm drawn to being fan of this girl, but I have been since Parent Trap. I don't imagine it will stop any time soon. Maybe I admire her style, her drug abuse, her fame.... Or maybe I like watching a train wreck in action. Whatever it is, Lilo is here to stay.

Gene Simmons- That demon has me hooked. I am finally getting on to his show Gene Simmons Family Jewels and it's quite enjoyable. I feel while watching it I pick up business skills and music industry tips. Maybe I'm in denial about this show. It's most likely a passing phase like Dog the Bounty Hunter, but I'm going to ride it out until it ends. Gene is quite the savvy business man. I remember watching an interview on The Hour with George Stromolopolous and Gene said these wise words: "No one is going to promote you, except yourself." I think this is true. You are your own biggest fan.
