Magic Wood

"Song for Jeffery"- Jethro Tull
This track is beyond epic. It plays at work at least 4 times a day and us ladies at Sweethart of the Rodeo stomp around to it with our clunky work boots or Dr. Martens.

Something Like That

Everyone's fav. "lady of the evening",
Lindsay Lohan is one of my style icons.
It doesn't matter how fucked up she is or how ratty her weave is,
Lilo has some style.

Eyes Wide Open

Still can't believe this happened.
"Wild Child"- Iggy Pop on, ugh, American Idol.

Glitter Glam

"Do you want to touch me"- Gary Glitter

The Wild One

Think of her as a troll, a bag lady, or an attention desperate twin,
MK is a style icon.
I grew up watching her and I am still overly obsessed with her.
Whether she is sporting over sized sunglasses, plaid, fur, or a bag lady ensemble,
Mary Kate is a source of inspiration.
She practically pioneered that BoHo chic movement
and is an unofficial promoter for Starbucks.
Check out A Very Mary Kate for some endearing laughs.

Paint it Red

"You won't know where you are going until you get there."
Well that is me right now. I seem to be free falling to some unknown destination.
I've been enjoying my "time off", but now it's becoming monotonous.
Too much time and coffee on my hands.
Starting my new/old job tomorrow. There is nothing like returning to
a place that is filled with bittersweet memories.

Here is a short playlist I have compiled of tracks I'm crazy about right now:

1)Taken for a fool- The Strokes
2) Can't you hear me knocking- The Rolling Stones
3) I be on that- Childish Gambino
4) Rock the Casbah- The Clash
5)Hollywood- The Runaways
6) Sunshine of your love- Cream
7) Wild charms- The Kills
8) Ms. Jackson- Outkast
9) Glock busta- Papoose
10) When I b on that mic- Rakim
11) T.V eye- The Stooges
12)What I like- Stat Quo
13) No time- The Guess Who
14) Do you want to touch me- Gary Glitter

Wild Charms

Alison Mosshart from The Kills.
Mad style.
It's in the way she smokes her cigarettes,
In the way she wears fur coats and leopard print everything.
It's in the way her crazy hair flows so carefree
and those ladykiller golden boots.
I admire her "I don't give a fuck attitude."

Scattered Sun

Waiting for the sun, just like Jim Morrison
We at Sweethart of the rodeo went on a desert trip of sorts.
We were wandering the sandstone hills, quoting Doors lyrics
and out pops a snake, slithering and hissing.
(ride the snake man)
It was meant to be.
True paradise.

Playing with Fire

She's your Cherry Bomb.
Cherie Currie from the Runaways.
A definite style icon of the late 70's.
A little bit of Bowie, a little bit of teenage sex kitten
rolled into one.
I love her silver lame jump suits, Bowie shirts,
scarves, and sun bleaches Valley girl vibes.
(All pictures, except #2 and 3 are by Brad Elterman)

Golden Stone

The dashing Golden Stone.
At first I thought Brian Jones was just a bloated drug addict when
I saw him on Rock and Roll Circus,
but slowly over time he has grown on me and I have learned
to embrace his style.
He was the most glam Stone, wearing velvet smoking jackets, scarves, and fur coats.
He was the first to charm Anita Pallenberg and that shows
that he must have had intense style.
The golden stone could of had the world, but he lost it all.

Degenerates

"Rock the Casbah"- The Clash
