Dear Diary
"Marilyn Monroe"- Pharrell Williams
Dear Diary, It's happened again...
Pharrell has crafted a new jam that I secretly love. I've loved Pharrell for years. It was a highlight of mine to go up on stage and stroke his abs during a NERD show back in 2008. It was also really awesome when "Can I Have It Like That" was the Toronto Raptors theme song. I met their official DJ (closest thing I will get to the Raptors) at one of my haunts and danced the night away.
My love for Skateboard P goes deep. Deep like back in 2002 when I saw his beautiful face in the Justin Timberlake music video "Like I Love You."
So this nouvelle fame, Vivienne Westwood hat and all, is well deserved for Skateboard P.

Hit Me With Your Best Shot
So it's been a while since I've actually wrote a blog post, so here's something on a topic that I have been silent on far too long:
10 reasons why Miley Cyrus is awesome:
Honestly, I'm a big fan of Miley. And let me tell you why
1) She actually is talented. She can sing. Check out her singing Dolly Parton's "Jolene" in the backyard sessions.
2) She is super fit. Claims that it's "yoga" and never sleeping. Sure man...
3) She has completely transformed herself. She took her good girl image and then what seemed like overnight (which really was a series of incidents and warnings- see TMZ video of Miley twerking at a Juicy J concert months ago before the VMA incident) and transformed herself into a pop commodity. Is there anything really wrong with a girl shedding her image of the past? Take chameleon extraordinaire, Madonna, or for a milder example, Rihanna - From "Breaking Dishes" to "Umbrella." People grow up. People change. Except it.
4) She is not afraid to show off her body. Some people may think that she is being slutty, gross etc. Or using her body to sell records. But I say, get it girl. You're young and 20. Take your clothes off if you want. Wear what you want. Dance however you want. Take risks.
5) She appears to not listen to anyone but herself. She claims she is in 100 percent control of her career. Whether this is true, she sure is dancing to the own beat of her drum.
6) She openly reps smoking weed. Just one more on the Kush train with Snoop and Willie.
7) So far, she has yet to have some type of mental break down. And that's pretty good being a product of the Disney machine (see Britney Spears, Demi Lavato etc.)
8) I don't think she is overly "artsy" but she does attempt to make something artistic (like her music videos for "We Can't Stop" and "Wrecking Ball" as opposed to just pumping out hits from Doctor Luke (again see Britney Spears latest creation.)
9) She is candid. She speaks her mind, laughs, sticks her tongue out, swears, smokes, whatever. She shows us she is human and that really is super fun up in Miley's world.
10) She can apparently hold her own in the hiphop world. Somehow she has won over hiphop artists like Mike Will Made It, Juicy J, Wiz Khalifia, and French Montana, oh and Pharrell Williams. That speaks volumes. If they are willing to work with her, she must be packing some heat ( I mean some talent.)

Sexual Eruption
I've wanted to post this for so long. Snoop Dogg is the shit.
A while back I had a dream, that when he was in my home town,
I went to the after party and found him chilling in a purple suit.
I sat beside him and he told me in that sensually smooth voice
that I was now his official hat carrier, and he handed me his purple velvet
hat that had a feather in it.
I was in the inner Snoop circle.
His personal hat carrier.
What a title! What a dream.
The best part was Snoop was dressed as the pimp character he played in Starsky and Hutch.
Straight up G.
Snoop Playlist:
-"Gangsta Love"- Snoop Dogg feat. The Dream
-"Still Dre."- Dr. Dre. feat Snoop Dogg
-"Drop it like it's hot"- Snoop Dogg feat. Pharrell
-"Gin and Juice"- Snoop Dogg
-"I wanna fuck you"- Akon feat. Snoop Dogg

The Sauce Makes All the Difference...
This is all the rage. So many cameos( Pharrell, Chromeo, The Roots, Ezra Koening, Kanye)
This song should be your new jam. It's so uplifting. It should get you up out of your chair and busting it down on the floor!
"Barbra Streisand "- Duck Sauce

Crocodile Dandy

Who is James Goldstein?
Who is this fabulous crocodile wearing dandy
who frequents NBA games like he's a gold digger.
I saw a segment about him on Fashion Television
and I was blown away with his style and his home
which he designed himself.
His home has been host to many photo shoots and
music videos, especially Snoop and Pharell's video for
"Let's Get Blown."
James describes himself with 3 words:
fashion, architecture, basketball.
Check out his website here
and read an interview with James for Interview magazine here
Mr. Warhol would be proud.

Yes Sir, Snoopy Snacks
Combining two of my greatest loves, Snoop Dogg (So Smooth) and Pharrell (So hot) together. This track isn't the greatest, see "Drop it like it's hot", but the video is pretty neat. Complete with leopard print lamps, afro's and Snoop's snacks, it's really a pleasure to watch. And when Pharrell says "Yes sir", I die a little...

Sweat It OUT!
This track was playing during my water aerobics class and I have to say I am a fan. Sweating it out to Madonna is key. I'm not usually a huge supporter of Madge but this song is magic. And Pharrell Williams= something so sexy I can't even comprehend.
